Mark Murakami

Mark Murakami, General Sales Manager for KRNV News 4, has over 16 years of experience in media buying, selling and media negotiation. A graduate of the University of Nevada's Reynolds School of Journalism, Mark has worked for some of the leading advertising agencies in northern Nevada both as a marketer and media director. Prior to joining News 4 as an Account Executive in 2004, Murakami spent five years with a leading radio group where he sold for 5 stations. Having been on both sides of the negotiation process, Mark is known and respected for his ability to work with clients and their budgets in order to deliver results. In 2005, Mark became the General Sales Manager of News 4 where he manages a team of seven in Reno and Elko who have combined sales experience of over 67 years. A Portland, Oregon native, Mark is a sports fanatic and can be seen at Wolf Pack athletic events cheering on Nevada, or on a golf course somewhere. He and his wife Frankie have a son, Ryan.
