Ashley joined the News 4 team in March 2012. She is a graduate of the Master in Journalism program at Northwestern University’s Medill School. While at Medill, Ashley interned at NBC5 in Chicago.
Journalism is the ideal field for her because it combines some of her favorite things: talking to people, learning new things and sharing that information with others.
Ashley covered both enterprise and breaking news stories for the Medill News Service in Chicago and Washington D.C. Her work was featured by outlets such as McClatchy newspapers, the Daily Caller, Military Times and USA Today.
Before graduate school, Ashley worked in the non-profit world for anti-poverty organizations and was the VP of Communications for the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s auxiliary board.
Ashley grew up in central Illinois and is a Midwestern girl to the core. When she’s not reporting, you can find Ashley watching NCAA basketball, doing crossword puzzles or watching goofy comedies.
