Joe Hart

Joe Hart
Joe Hart has been a part of News 4 since 1997. He started out as a reporter and has climbed his way up through the ranks to the main anchor position. Joe is a Bay Area native, but his career has taken him from Santa Rosa, California, up to the Pacific Northwest, and down to Las Vegas. Now he's settled in Reno, which he calls a perfect fit for him, with his two children, Will and Emilee.

Joe has covered a number of major stories over the years. He was selected to witness and report on an execution while working as an anchor in Washington State, an experience he says he'll never forget. He also covered the President's visit to Lake Tahoe in 1997 and the controversial poisoning of Lake Davis that same year. On the lighter side, Joe had the pleasure of flying in an Air Force fighter jet out at Fallon (no, he didn't get sick) and being selected as a Torchbearer for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Recently, Joe was honored for his work with several prestigious awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Award, the NorCal RTNDA Award for best news writing and the Top TV Anchor Award, presented by the Reno Press Club.

In August of 2007, Joe was recognized for his years of achievement and dedication to the Reno community when he was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.

When he's not at work, Joe enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with his children.
