Tim Studebaker joined the News 4 team in September 2013 as meteorologist for News 4 Today, The News 4 Forum, and News 4 at Noon.
Most recently, Tim served as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter for WOAY in southern West Virginia. Before that, he spent over two years working close to home as a weather producer at Boston’s NBC affiliate, WHDH. While working at WHDH, Tim was given the opportunity to work with, and learn from, meteorologists he had watched and admired for years.
Tim graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Lyndon State College in Vermont. He’s very excited to forecast the challenging weather for northern Nevada and the Sierra, and looks forward to exploring the area.
Weather has always been one of Tim’s passions. A New England native, Tim grew up in the Boston area, where weather played a huge role in his life. He spent many a nor’easter with his face pressed against the window (or even outside in the elements!) watching the snow and wind.
You can probably find him checking out some of the great restaurants in the area, exploring the outdoors, or trying to find a place to watch the New England Patriots or Boston Red Sox when they aren’t on local TV!
