1.Government programs to help homeowners are ending at the end of the year “Harp Program, Hamp Program, Hafa expires too.”. These programs must have congressional approval. These programs have been put in front of congress twice and neither time have been approved.
2.Tax Forgiveness act expires the end of this year as well. With congress denying these other programs it doesn’t leave a lot of optimism that this will be extend either.
Keep in mind, as the market improves the government has less pressure to help homeowners.
1.More programs are available to help homeowners today then ever before and I guarantee you we will not have these options in the future.
2.Banks are more lenient on releasing homeowners of all liability on all debt which allows homeowners a fresh start.
