About the Job
United Service Technologies, a commercial cooking equipment service company, is seeking a Field Service Technician in the Reno/Truckee Area.
The Field Service Technician will be servicing fryers, slicers, ovens, rotisseries, hot cases, bakery ovens, proofers, mixers, saws, grinders, tenderizers, and a more. This individual is responsible for providing customer service in the field, maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment. Communication to the customer regarding the service is essential. In addition, the Field Service Technician works with our office personnel to resolve all customer service issues that directly impact the assigned technicians.

Job Duties Include
Must be able to properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial food equipment
Perform preventative maintenance service
Perform installation service
Fill out work orders completely and legibly
Communicate with dispatch upon arrival and departure from assignment
Define service problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions about work needed to be preformed
Create estimates and proposals as needed
Effectively communicate with the following individuals:
Customers - regarding repairs
Dispatch - regarding status of service (via cell phone)
Parts - to order correct parts
Service manager on difficult calls
Factories as needed for help diagnosing problems with the equipment
Return to warranty coordinator warranty parts for return to the respective factories
Maintain company supplied hand tools as well as tools required for the position
Maintain company vehicle, including: cleanliness, organizing company inventory, keeping it fueled and serviced for regular oil changes and other maintenance services
Participate in continuous education – industry certification training is available and will be expected
Obtain additional licenses and certifications as appropriate
Assist assigned technicians with technical support
Facilitate monthly technician meetings with direct reports
Facilitate monthly safety meetings
Perform/Assist with technician performance reviews
Train new technicians as assigned
Perform monthly truck inspections
Assist Area Manager in hiring process and disciplinary process of assigned technicians
Maintain adequate time efficiency
Other duties as needed
Dispatch on call jobs to appropriate technician
Requirements
· High School diploma or GED
· Must have a valid driver’s license from the state in which they are applying and must be insurable by our auto insurance company
· Have a flexible schedule is required
· Demonstrated knowledge with commercial kitchen equipment, and/or related equipment
· Must be highly safety conscious
· Must be able to use pc computer and operate software to look up part information
· Abide by lockout/tagout training
· Able to work individually or as a team member with customers, co-workers and factory personnel
· Job requires excellent organizational skills, must be a motivated, self-starter
· Able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision
· Able to concentrate, handle pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail
