Job Title - Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer
The University of Nevada, Reno seeks two network engineers to join the Information Technology Dept. The network engineer is responsible for analysis, design, implementation, maintenance and support of communications infrastructure for the University’s campuses and for the University of Nevada School of Medicine’s (UNSOM) statewide clinical operations, which includes wired and wireless networks facilitating data, voice, video, and other media transmission. The network infrastructure includes, but is not limited to routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and other network traffic engineering equipment as well as servers and software which provide core network services and functionality.

. Salary range: Range 2 starting salary is $38,804-$59,699/Range 3 starting salary is $47,155-$72,546. TIAA/CREF and other retirement options; 24 days of vacation annually; generous sick leave policy; tuition benefits for self and family; no state income tax or FICA.

Newly hired faculty must have an official transcript of their highest degree sent by the degree granting institution(s) directly to University of Nevada, Reno Human Resources within 30 calendar days from the effective date of employment. The position is subject to a mandatory unpaid furlough requirement of 6 days per year through June 30, 2013
