Job Description
The Clear Capital PMO is seeking a creative, team-oriented, entrepreneurial individual with experience managing people and projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. To succeed in this environment, the Technical Project Manager must have excellent communication, organization, and management skills.
The TPM is a key member of the Technology Department, providing the main interface between the product development team and product management to ensure solution comprehensiveness, quality, and accuracy. The TPM is responsible for product definition, however, this extends beyond requirements to a solid understanding of business and customer problems and seeking ways to address and solve them.
Suffice to say, the TPM is a key contributor to the success of the product. They are accountable for delivering products that meet vision, strategic, financial, and positioning objectives. The TPM has excellent analysis skills and is capable of transforming business requirements into technology solutions. They will build user stories based on functional requirements and then work with developers to ensure the product delivered meets the acceptance criteria. The TPM may also participate in testing, training, and support client feature adoption.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Work with Product Manager at detailed level to define requirements for products and redefine, as necessary, existing products with an eye toward growing the business.
•Support Product Manager as appropriate and providing expertise and knowledge of the domain.
•Translating market requirements and product features from multiple stakeholders into software product features and more detailed level requirements (e.g. epics, user stories, etc.). Working with architects and technical leads to populate backlog.
•Creating, prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog and analyzing user stories for impacts to the systems.
•Develop ROI with the business.
•Reviewing and accepting the solution delivered by the scrum team. Driving acceptance of the solution amongst the stakeholders.
•Demonstrating self-confidence in high demand settings.
•Building collaborative and positive relationships across multiple stakeholder groups with diverse needs and goals.
•Sequencing the requirements and scheduling them into difference releases; communicating release schedules to stakeholders.
•Setting proper expectations with stakeholders regarding product delivery.
•Facilitating cross organizational awareness of product issues and providing the leadership for organizational readiness aspects for a software product release or opportunity.
•Own product release activities including release plans and final acceptance.
•Development of supporting data required for user stories (i.e. wireframes, functional specifications).
•Providing input and recommendations on user interface and feature designs.
•Acting as liaison between agile delivery team and business groups by communicating product and business vision, translating product needs into technology solutions.
•Providing demos of work to stakeholders and status updates to executive management.
Required Job Related Skills and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Comp Science, Business Administration or related discipline/relevant experience.
•5+ years of experience (business analysis, development, software solutions, project management).
•Agile/Scrum experience as Product owner preferred.
Additional Qualifications
•Background in web applications development is highly desired
•Knowledge of financial services industry including loan valuation outsourcing is a plus
•Experience with JIRA is a plus
