Job Title - Library Instructor (part-time)
University of Nevada Libraries seek a part-time instructor to teach library instruction sessions and conduct orientations and tours. The focus is to acquaint students with existing library services and resources. Primary audiences are freshman level courses and
prospective students from area high schools. The successful candidate will organize instruction for both in-person and virtual/online sessions and will develop supporting instructional materials.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage students; familiarity with online library information resources; willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and occasional
weekends. Prefer experience working in an academic library; experience using an online course management system or creating web pages; teaching experience; and a Master’s degree in library science.
This is a part-time position - 19 hours per week; $19.00-$23.00/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Temporary Letter of Appointment through June 30, 2013; renewable contingent on funding and business need.
