This week we are introducing you to U.S. service members selected to play in the Reno Tahoe Open Pro- Am.
Through the doctors supporting troops program, local doctors pay for and are the caddies for these four American heroes as they play Montreux with a touring pro.
It's a day everyone involved is looking forward to!
The serenity of a morning at Montreaux is a far cry from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan.
A stark difference Sgt. Nathan Daisley is happy to take in.
The Army National Guardsman has been deployed 5 times since joining the military straight out of high school.
Out of dozens of nominations...Reno Orthorpedic Surgeon Renny Uppal picked Sgt. Daisley as the service member he wanted to host at the RTO Pro-Am.
This is the second year local doctors like Uppal have put this day aside for the troops.
They carry and clean their clubs and as a collegiate golfer himself, Dr. Uppal might be able to give some good tips too.
Uppal says he sees a lot of injured veterans at his orthopedic practice and believes whether a soldier is injured or not, they are all selfless and deserving of a big thank you.
Sgt. Daisley is trying to work out the kinks of a brand new set of clubs complements of his girlfriend who nominated him and he is thrilled to be doing it at Montreaux.
Thank you to Sgt. Nathan Daisley for you service.
