CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Brewery Arts Center welcomes the New Shanghai Circus to Carson City's Bob Boldrick Theatre on Tuesday, January 31st at 7:30pm. The Carson City performance is the only Northern Nevada appearance during this national tour.
The show is a beautifully orchestrated presentation of Chinese circus acts dating back 2000 years. The modern day performance is enhanced by fabulous choreography, amazing lighting, enchanting scenery and powerful music.
The performers will dazzle and amaze the audience with their breathtaking feats that defy gravity and stretch the limits of human ability. The company is made up of acrobats who have trained since early childhood at one of China's famed circus schools. The spellbinding show features fearless performers with boundless energy. The entire family will enjoy this magical event.
The New Shanghai Circus was the first Chinese acrobatic company to perform on Broadway in 1999. The Circus is now the resident theater group at its own theater in Branson, Missouri. It is one of the top events in that popular entertainment destination.
Prior to the evening performance the New Shanghai Circus Company will host a lecture and demonstration at 4pm. This performance is perfect for an after school audience.
The performance company will arrive in Carson City on January 30th and English speaking performers are available for interviews. Performers are also available for Television Morning newscasts. Video of a performance can also be provided.
Tickets for evening performance are $25.00 General Admission, $9.50 for 18 and under. Groups of 10 or more may purchase at the discounted price of $20.00 each.
