What:  Local government and business partners will gather at a press conference to announce a regional “We Think Local” initiative, asking businesses and individuals in Northern Nevada to consider local vendors and employees when looking to purchase, contract, hire, eat, support and serve within the region.

Why: The “We Think Local” campaign is a community initiative to build awareness of the economic benefits of
  doing business locally. This effort enhances the livability of our community, the stability and diversity of
  the local economy and the retention and expansion of local businesses, while increasing awareness of
  the personal, community and economic benefits of choosing to “Think Local” first.

          Businesses and individuals are asked to sign a “We Think Local” pledge at the event or online.
