David Bowie sent supermodel pal Kate Moss to pick up his Best Male Artist award at the BRITs on Wednesday.
Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher mocked the O2 Arena audience in London when he announced Bowie had won the prize, insisting there was no way the rock icon would attend an event like the Brits.
He quipped, "You maniacs, you didn't think David Bowie was actually gonna be here? David Bowie's too cool for that."
The rocker then introduced the Let's Dance hitmaker's "representative on earth", Moss, onstage and she read out a message from the Thin White Duke himself, which referenced the rabbit-designed dress she was wearing.
Moss read: "In Japanese myth, the rabbits on my old costume that Kate's wearing live on the moon...
"I'm completely delighted to have a Brit for being the best male, but I am, aren't I Kate? I think it's a great way to end the day."
His message ended with a political plea to Scottish politicians, who are fighting for independence.
Moss added, "Thank you very much, and Scotland, stay with us!" Copyright WENN.com
