D. Rossi wrote in asking about concession prices at the Aces baseball games. He says he pays $9 for beer and $5 for popcorn at the games and he wants to know how much of that goes to profit.
I checked with the Aces front office about this.
They wouldn't tell me what the mark-up or profit is but they did want to clear up any confusion about prices.
Last season, a 16 oz beer cost $ 5.75 and a 20 oz. Beer
Cost $7.25 at the ballpark. So you don't necessarily have to spend $9 for a beer.
Popcorn goes for $4.25 or you can get a bottomless popcorn for $ 6.00
They also point out they consistently offer special promotions for $ 2 coors light, $ 1 hot dogs, $ 1 nachos and $1 ribs.
The Aces also offer tickets that start as low as $ 7, Which they say makes it one of the premier entertainment values in northern nevada. They also have a pretty good team which won the Triple A championship last year.
And by the way the aces home opener for the coming season will be on Friday April 12th.
