Rita wrote in saying her son was hit by a car at the intersection of South Meadows and Double R Boulevard.  She wants to know if its possible to get the video of the hit and run from the traffic cameras ?
Unfortunately the cameras mounted on the traffic lights are only sensors which monitor traffic and help time the signals to keep the flow of traffic moving.
According to michele anderson at the city of Reno they do not take pictures or video.   The city does not have any cameras which do that.
So i'm sorry i can't help you out.
The accident happened at 8:30 pm on January third, that was a Thursday.
Perhaps if anybody out there did witness the accident they can contact me here at the station at  jhart@mynews4.com and I will pass the information on to Rita.
