Question:

From the Ask Joe file, it is raising millions of dollars to help fight ALS, and one of our viewers has a question about the campaign known as the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Megan Roberson wrote in saying if you are really dedicated to this Ask Joe segment, then do the Ice Bucket Challenge and show it on the air.

Answer:

So Megan has called Joe out. He did the Ice Bucket Challenge in the News 4 parking lot on Thursday, along with a couple members of the Nevada Air Guard, Jon Baker and Paul Hinen.

They were good sports. It is definitely a shock to your system, but all worth it to help raise money to fight ALS.

According to the New York Times, nearly $42 million has been raised as of Thursday. So Joe was happy to take part.

When you take the challenge, you get to nominate someone else to do it. Joe decided to nominate Chief Meteorologist Brandon Wholey.
