Clyda Anderson called up today and asked why there aren't any signs indicating in advance that the lane ends as you're exiting 395 North and getting onto I-80 East. She says she's seen a few close calls because motorists don't realize the lane ends.
I checked with Scott Magruder our media contact over at NDOT .I told him about your concerns and he said he will have one of his traffic engineers go check out the situation to see it first hand. Magruder says if they decide more signs are needed or more arrows on the road that's what they'll do.
Of course they don't want to confuse drivers by adding too many signs or too many markings on the pavement, but magruder says in this case there may be some changes needed. He'll let us know and and I'll pass it on when i find out.
