Question:
From the Ask Joe file one of our viewers has a question about a recent crime in Lyon County that turned out to be a very expensive one for the victims.
Bill in Dayton wrote in asking if there is any update on the recent tire slashings in Lyon County and why authorities are not announcing the amount of the reward being offered?

Answer:
There is an update on this case.  I checked with the Lyon County Sheriff's Department and they say they now have a person of interest as they continue to investigate.
More than 30 cars were vandalized in Dayton earlier this month.  Many of them were the personal vehicles of local law enforcement officers.  Investigators won't say whether they think the person of interest they're focusing on has any specific ties to law enforcement.
As for the reward, the sheriff's department has said all along that a reward is being offered but they have not specified an amount.     Why ?  Good question.  Dale Edwards with Secret Witness says 99 percent of the time they do specify an amount but for some reason not in this case.  He simply called it an anomaly.
In any case...No specifics on the amount in this case but Secret Witness confirms there is a cash reward being offered.
