Robert Ousby wrote in asking what happens with our downtown parking kiosks when it snows ? He wants to know how people will be able to tell what space they've parked in when the ground is covered in several inches of snow ?
I called Cane Dutt the head man over at Curb Systems yesterday but i did not get a call back.
I asked Michele Anderson down at City Hall about this. She says they have planned for that. When you park in the snow and you can't see the space number you can input your car's license number into the system instead of your parking space.
It should be spelled out clearly as an option on the kiosk when you go to pay. So it sounds the like the new system should work even if when the snow piles up.
