Walter Moore wrote in asking if there's any chance our rainy weather could cause the Sparks Hometowne Christmas Parade to be cancelled this weekend ?
I checked with Adam Mayberry over at Sparks City Hall. They have postponed the parade and they made that decision at about 2:30 this afternoon.
Here are the details. The parade has been postponed one week until
Saturday December 8th...
The tree lighting will be the night before on Friday.
City spokesman Adam Mayberry says they made the decision because of the high winds forecast for the next couple of days and with chance of flooding on sunday they want to make sure all of their emergency personnel can spend their time preparing for that.
So again..the sparks hometowne christmas parade has been postponed for one week...Hopefully we'll have better weather then...!
