From the Ask Joe File one of our viewers has a question about yesterday's bus crash near Golden Valley. The bus driver and a three year old child suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Andy wrote in asking why a school bus was transporting a three year old child ?
I checked with Victoria Campbell over at the school district about this.
She says the child on the bus was part of the district's Early Childhood Special Education Program.
There are about 800 kids in the program. These are children who have some sort of learning disability or physical condition that they need extra help with.
In many cases the lessons focus on speech development.
The district operates the program for children, starting on their third birthday, to help prepare them for classroom learning and to keep them from falling behind before they even start school.
Once again the child involved in that bus crash yesterday suffered only minor injuries is now back with her parents.
