Question:
Jennie Evans is among those who wrote in asking what happened to the Terrible's Chevron gas station at South Virginia and Longley Lane and noticed it was all covered up.
Her question is -- what happened?

Answer:
Well Jennie, this was a tricky one to get answers to. I tried a number of different avenues before I got some answers.
We did go out and take a look this afternoon.  The old gas station, convenience store and car wash are closed up and fenced off.  The business closed pretty suddenly about a week ago.
The city of Reno says Terrible's business license expired as of May 31st.    But the city was not given any more information than that.
I called Terrible's corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, three times, and did not get a call back.
I also called Dan Gluhaich, a local agent with Colliers who's handling the listing of the property. He called me back and said Terrible's is pulling out of the Reno market altogether and concentrating on southern Nevada.  Basically, an economic decision.
The property is for sale and Dan Gluhaich says he thinks it will be back up and running with a new owner within a month.
I'll keep you posted if I hear any other developments.
