Jan and Lonnie Lee wrote in saying they live in Reno and have been hearing a lot about Midtown. They want to know where it is ?
Jan and Lonnie, Midtown is an area south of Downtown Reno which is now home to more than a dozen new businesses.
It is basically south of Liberty Street, North of Mount Rose, East of Humboldt Avenue and West of Holcomb. The concept is known as urban fill. That is, taking older historic buildings and giving them new life by turning them into new shops and restaurants. Some of the more familiar names include Sup, Midtown Eats and the Nevada Discovery Museum. Its a fun area with a lively atmosphere and definitely worth checking out.
