From the Ask Joe File several viewers have written in asking about a business that shut down recently.
Sarah E. wrote in asking why Community Animal Hospital closed so suddenly ? She says they received no warning that they were closing.
I checked around on this and no one seems to know the answer.
Community Animal Hospital was located on Summit Ridge Drive in Northwest Reno. I stopped by today and there's a note on the door that says they closed on March 7th, which was last Thursday. The note says they were sorry to have to close their doors. I peeked inside and there are papers on the desk and supplies still on the shelves.
The Better Business Bureau didn't know anything about the closure and neither did the city of Reno's Business Licensing Department , although the owners had let their business license expire as of january first.
So its a bit of a mystery. The sign on the door says if you were a customer of Community Animal Hospital, you can go to A-Plus Animal Hospital on Longley Lane and pick up your pets' records there. A-Plus confirmed they do have the records, but the person who answered the phone said they did not know why Community Animal Hospital had closed.
