Kris, a concerned parent and News 4 viewer wrote in to ask if anything can be done to fix the the air conditioning at Roller Kingdom. She says it has been unbearably hot lately when she has taken her children there to skate recently.
I checked into this and found out the the problem has been going on for about a week and a half . I called the owner of Roller Kingdom, Brad Armstrong. He says they have had some problems with the air conditioning system and he admits it has been pretty hot inside as a result. The good news: five new compressors just arrived, in fact he says they are sitting on the roof of the building, waiting to be installed. Armstrong says he's hoping the new equipment can be installed within the next few days and he says everthing should be back to normal at that point. He says he appreciates his customers' patience in the meantime and has made a point of handing out free ice water to help skaters stay cool.
