They may be just ten years old, but two friends in Incline Village are proving little people have big hearts and this month they are News Four's Class Act Award winners!
During a school assembly recently evening anchor Shelby Sheehan surprised fourth graders Sami Giangreco and Kruz Conway at Incline elementary school with their awards.
The good buddies celebrated their September birthdays together, but instead of getting gifts, they asked for cash donations. Cash donations not to pad their piggy banks, but to help children stricken with cancer.
With 35 guests from their classrooms, parents and teachers the money added up to a thousand dollars that went directly to St. Jude's Children's Research Center. The two say it wasn't easy to give up all their gifts, but after they raised the money it felt like a great decision.
Congratulations to Kruz Conway and Sami Giangreco, News Four's Class Act Award winners for the month of April!
