A Galena High School junior may be tough out on the football field, but his compassionate nature shines through off the gridiron.
News Four's Shelby Sheehan surprised Britt Brown with our Class Act Award recently during his class at Galena High School.
Brown is not only a good student and athelete but shows an interest in helping others.
With the help of teammates and his leadship class he was able to raise money for a football player from Elko who had been hospitalized with a blood clot.
Brown organized bake sales and asked for donations raising more than 1400 dollars for the Elko student, whom he had never met.
His mom was the one who told him about the student who needed help and he jumped at the chance to do it.
