Class Act is a program designed to acknowledge outstanding Washoe County students ages Kindergarten through High School who not only excel in academics but are positive role models at school, at home or in their community. These students are recognized via a news story on KRNV News 4 at 5pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The partners for Class Act are United Federal Credit Union, the Reno Aces and Circus Circus.
Monthly recipients are honored at either a school assembly or classroom visit which is hosted by News 4 anchor Shelby Sheehan. News coverage of both the assembly and highlights of the student’s positive contributions will air on News 4’s newscasts at 5pm on the third Wednesday of each month and then again the next day Thursday during the News 4 Today 5:30a-7a.
