Every month on News 4 at Five we honor a local student for their work in and out of the classroom.  And this month we head to McQueen High School to present September's Class Act Award.

Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall joined us to hand out the award and a $529 check for a college savings account to McQueen junior Sybille Horcholle.   Along with excelling in school, Sybille also spends her time volunteering at a local senior center, playing Bingo and keeping the senior citizens company.  Sybille says she enjoys it and finds it a real learning experience.
"I was able to meet people that had so much knowledge and they told me  of history that I wasn't even born when it happened," she told News 4.

Congratulations once again to Sybille Horcholle, our Class Act Award winner for September, and a big thank you to our partners, the Nevada Treasurer's Office and United Federal Credit Union.
If you know of a student who deserves to be honored with our Class Act award, drop us a line here at the station, 1790 Vassar Street in Reno.
