Reno-(NV) A teacher at Marvin Moss Elementary School is making the grade in more ways than one and she is News Four's Excellence in Education award winner for the month of December.
Just recently we surprised 5th grade teacher Amy Howe with the award during class.
Parents say Mrs. Howe teaches with an amazing balance of compassion...endurance and dedication.
She expects a lot of of her students, but gives them the tools to get the job done. Teaching was a career change for Mrs. Howe she left a marking job to make the shift into the classroom and has never looked back.
