A science teacher at North Valleys High School is keeping her students intrigued and excited about learning and this month she is News Four's Excellence in Education Award winner. But we learned she is a tough one to track down!
We went to Jasper Remaley's room recently to surprise her with the award, but were surprised ourselves when we found out she had left campus as the JV cheer leading coach to go to a game at Manogue.
We tracked her down in the gym there to make sure Remaley would get her award.
In the gym, we read nomination letters from students that talked about what an amazing teacher she is, keeping science fun, caring about their concerns and getting them to succeed.
She is not only a dedicated teacher but always involved with extra curricular activities like cheer leading.
Remaley says she is thrilled to know she is making a difference with current and former students. "You never know, you just go along and teach and do your thing and you don't know you are impacting them. You hope you are but you never know."
Congratulations to Jasper Ramaley, News Four's Excellence in Education Award Winner!
