Excellence in Education is a program designed to acknowledge outstanding Washoe County educators via a news story on KRNV News 4 at 5pm the 4th Wednesday of month. The partners for Excellence in Education are United Federal Credit Union and the Reno Aces.
Monthly winners are honored at either a school assembly or classroom visit which is hosted by News 4 anchor Shelby Sheehan. News coverage of both the assembly and highlights of the educator’s special contributions will air on News 4’s newscasts at 5pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month and then again the next day Thursday during the News 4 Today 5:30a-7a.
