There are are new developments tonight in a seven year court battle involving a group of mobile home owners who lost their life savings when the park where they lived closed down.
As we uncovered in a recent Fact Finder report, the homeowners still have not been paid for the value of their homes.
The attorney for the homeowners has filed a motion for reconsideration now that a new judge has been appointed to take over for the retired Steven Kosach.
In 2008, Kosach ordered the Manufactured Housing Division to determine fair market value of the homes, but that never happened and the case has continued to drag on.
As a result, the mobile homeowners have lost thousands of dollars they invested in their homes.
Now, they hope judge Lidia Stiglich will give them a second chance.
"There's a problem. Obviously something went wrong. We're just trying to trace that for the judge and say judge, take another look at this," said Glade Hall, the attorney representing the seven mobile home owners.
No word on when that motion for reconsideration will be heard by the judge. The park's owner, Robert Stitser, told News 4 the reason he has not paid the homeowners is because the court case is still playing out.
