LAS VEGAS (AP) — A pet shop owner and an accused arsonist are due for separate court hearings in Las Vegas, where they're accused of torching a store where firefighters rescued nearly 30 puppies.
Gloria Eun Hye Lee and Kirk Bills each face 31 charges including arson, conspiracy, burglary and attempted animal cruelty.
Bills is due to appear Monday in a local court for a preliminary hearing to be set and for his lawyer to seek bail.
Bills was arrested Feb. 7 in Crown Point, Ind., and returned in custody to Las Vegas.
Lee is due for arraignment in state court following her indictment Feb. 14.
She's being held on $310,000 bail.
Authorities say Lee and Bills are seen on security video setting the Jan. 27 fire at Lee's Prince and Princess pet store.
