CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee takes up a bill today that would release the criminal records of current and prospective employees or volunteers working with the elderly or the disabled in Nevada.
Current law permits employers to review the criminal records of current employees and future hires if their job description includes children.
The new bill expands that allowance to include those working with people over the age of 59 or disabled individuals.
