Reno, NV (MyNews4.com) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up rookie pitcher Mike Bolsinger from the Reno Aces. In two starts with the Aces, Bolsinger has a 2-0 record with a 1.42 ERA.
Arizona is in need of some pitching help. They're ranked last in the National League with a 5.95 ERA and are 4-11 on the season so far.
In another roster move, veteran pitcher Randy Wolf has transferred from the Hillsboro Hops to join the Reno Aces and will start tonight in the series finale between the El Paso Chihuahuas.
The Reno Aces will begin a 4-game homestand this week when they host the Las Vegas 51’s on Tuesday at 6:35pm. Tuesday is Jackie Robinson Day where all Aces players will wear Brooklyn Dodger-themed jerseys featuring Jackie Robinson's No. 42 to commemorate Robinson's first game with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15th, 1947 (67th anniversary). Jerseys will be auctioned off at the Friday, April 18th game.
