Chris Carr Retires from NFL

McQueen High School graduate Chris Carr has announced that he is retiring from  professional football.  The former Boise State defensive back spent nine  seasons in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans,  Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers and most recently the New Orleans  Saints. 

"I'm officially retiring from football this  week." Carr wrote on his Twitter page. "It's been a great  ride."

Carr retires with 229 career tackles, seven interceptions, seven  forced fumbles and two and a half sacks.

"Thank you to everybody in Reno  for supporting me -- especially at McQueen High School." Carr added on his  Twitter page.

Carr went on to say that he will be attending law school in  the fall.
