Reno, NV (MyNews4.com) -- Nick Evans once again triggered the Aces’ offense Saturday night in a 8-6 Reno win over the Fresno Grizzlies on a cold, windy night at Aces Ballpark.

Evans finished the night 2-for-4 with five RBI, marking the third-consecutive game he had driven in four or more runs. In the last three games, Evans is 7-for-12 with a home run and 13 RBI.

The Aces opened the scoring in the first inning when Evans drove home Tony Campana on a ground out to shortstop.

They added three more in the second inning, highlighted by a two-run double to left-center field off the bat of Blake Lalli. Campana’s sacrifice fly plated Lalli three batters later to make the score 4-0.

Fresno cut into the lead in the fifth inning with three runs. Joe Panik tripled home two, and scored when Tony Abreu singled to center field.

After Reno added a run in the fifth and sixth innings, Fresno tied it in the eighth with a three-run home run to left field by Adam Duvall.

The tie didn’t last long, however.

Trent Oeltjen and Didi Gregorius each walked in the inning, and found themselves in scoring position with two outs. Evans then singled home both runners to give the Aces the lead for good.

Lalli recorded Reno’s other multi-RBI game and finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Nick Ahmed was 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run.

Will Harris got his first win of the season for Reno. Matt Stites picked up the first save of his Triple-A career by working a scoreless ninth inning.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at 6:35 p.m. RHP Lucas Harrell (0-0, 6.48) gets the start for Reno, and Fresno will counter with LHP Jose De Paula (0-0, 0.00).
