BROOKLYN, N.Y. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Former Nevada point guard Deonte Burton went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft on Thursday.
Burton had been projected to be a second-round pick, possibly even a late first-rounder. Reports stated that the Milwaukee Bucks and Utah Jazz were teams with the most interest in the former Wolf Pack star.
As a senior, Burton averaged 20.1 points per game, 4.4 assists per game, and shot over 47% from the field.
After the draft concluded, Burton sent out the following tweets:
"Thank you to everyone who supported me just do me a favor keep supporting. I love situations like these because you can learn about yourself."
"Summer league here I come!"
Sources tell News 4 that Burton will join the Washington Wizards Summer League team in Las Vegas.
