RENO, NV. (KRNV & MyNew4.com) –Today the Reno Bighorns have relieved Paul Mokeski of his head coaching position, announced Reno Bighorns managing owner, Herb Santos, Jr.

"After a long discussion with Coach Mokeski and my partners, Stephen and Jeff Adams, we reached consensus that a change was necessary at this time," said Santos. "This was a difficult decision as Paul is a great person and has worked hard for us, both on and off the court. We appreciate Paul's efforts and contributions and wish him and his family the best of luck. They will always be special members of the Reno Bighorns Family."

"I would like to thank Herb Santos, Jr., Stephen and Jeff Adams and the Reno Bighorns for this opportunity. I wish them well in the future," said Paul Mokeski.

Mokeski was in his second season with the Bighorns and compiled a record of 34-54 at the helm of the franchise. Associate Coach Jason Glover will serve as Interim Head Coach and will serve as such through the remainder of the season. This is Glover's fourth season on the Bighorns bench. Glover was an associate Coach with Jay Humphries during the 2008-2009 seasons and has been the Associate Coach with Coach Mokeski since the 2011-2012 season. Glover also has experience as a former University of Nevada Assistant Coach, former player development coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves and is the current Associate Coach with the Tulsa Shock.

"We believe that this move is in the best interests of the Bighorns organization, our sponsors, season ticket holders and our loyal fans," said Santos.

The team is on the road this week, playing the Santa Cruz Warriors tonight, and facing Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday. The Bighorns return home to the Reno Events Center on Thursday, March 21 to take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
