Nevada's Byler drafted by Washington Nationals

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Wolf Pack first baseman Austin Byler has been selected by the Washington Nationals in the ninth round of the MLB First-Year Player Draft. He was selected with the 294th overall pick.

The Nevada junior could opt to sign with the Nationals, or return for his senior season in 2015.

Byler led the Mountain West Conference with 14 home runs and a .624 slugging percentage while starting all 57 games.
