OAKLAND, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Oakland Raiders could be looking for a new city.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, Raiders owner Mark Davis and his top two "lieutenants" recently met with San Antonio officials to discuss moving the Raiders. The report said that the meeting began on July 18, and the group toured the Alamodome and other locations.
If a move happens, the Alamodome likely would be the temporary home until a new stadium is built. Davis reportedly wants a small, intimate stadium in front of which he can place a statue of his father, the late Al Davis.
The Raiders have a one-year lease at their current home, O.co Coliseum, which they share with the Athletics. The A's are reportedly close to signing a ten-year lease, which would complicate the Raiders' efforts to build a new stadium on the same site.
