From Mountain West:
ALBERT ROSETTE, NEVADA
Senior, Linebacker, Antioch, Calif./De La Salle HS
Senior linebacker Albert Rosette recorded a game-high 15 tackles (eight solo) and made several key stops as the Nevada defense made a second-half stand to lead the Wolf Pack to a 31-24 win at New Mexico. On the Lobos’ first drive of the fourth quarter, with Nevada clinging to a seven-point lead, Rosette made five consecutive tackles, including four solo stops, to end UNM’s drive. One of those tackles included a stop of Lobo quarterback Cole Gautsche for no gain on fourth-and-one to give the ball back to Nevada. On the next UNM possession, Rosette and teammate Dray Bell stopped running back Kasey Carrier a yard short of the marker on a third-down play to force another Lobo punt.
