Reno, NY (MyNews4.com) -- Wolf Pack junior center AJ West has been cleared to play this season by the NCAA.  Nevada men’s basketball head coach, David Carter, announced that the 6’9” 230-pound JUCO transfer will play this Sunday at Lawlor Events Center.

After many questions as to whether or not West would even get to play this season due to NCAA eligibility issues, the waiting game is finally over.

West led the nation last season at Monroe College in blocks, averaging 5.1 per game.  He also put up 10.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest during his sophomore year.

Pack fans will be able to watch West make his Division I debut this weekend when Nevada hosts Iona on Sunday.  Tip-off from Lawlor is set for 1:05pm.  For ticket information, call 348-PACK or www.nevadawolfpack.com.
