You'll need to know if the mechanic is reliable, has technical certification, and quotes accurate estimates. Once you find a good mechanic, you should try to build a relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Go back to the same shop when you need car repair or maintenance. Over time, a good mechanic can become a good friend.
