Purchasing a mobile home can be one of the biggest investments you'll ever make. It makes sense to protect your investments, so purchasing insurance on your mobile home is only logical. For a low annual premium, you can protect your mobile home and belongings. Mobile home insurance generally protects your home against theft, fire, windstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, collapse, certain electrical and water damage, and other hazards. Depending on the type of coverage you purchase, you could be protected for up to 25 different perils recognized by the insurance industry. These would include virtually every disaster except flood and earthquake. Separate policies are generally available for these disasters. Essential factors in determining the rate of your coverage include the location of the mobile home park, the age of the mobile home, the width of the home, if the mobile has any attachments, and the desired deductibles. Consult an insurance agency in your area for more information about mobile home insurance.
