7:40p.m. UPDATE: Reno police say the victim who died in the drive by shooting at Locust and Capitol Hill in Reno was 16 years old. The identity of the deceased is being withheld due to their age.
Police say the second victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators are searching for a black sedan that was seen fleeing the area just after the shooting.

UPDATE: News 4 has confirmed one person is dead and another injured in the shooting. The shooting was a drive-by shooting. Reno Police tell News 4 the shots came from a "Black Audi passenger vehicle". There were reports of a number of people in the vehicle, with one person shooting.
UPDATE: The schools are no longer on lockdown.
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Vaughn Middle School and Veterans Memorial Elementary School are on code yellow lockdown after an incident in the area. Reno Police are responding to a call of "shots fired" in that area. The shooting happened at the corner of Locust Street and Capitol Hill Avenue.
