RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A woman and a man living with her have been arrested after injuring her seven-year-old male son.
On May 16, 2013, Reno Police say they responded to a local motel on a welfare check of a child. The seven-year-old male was located living with his mother, Allison Alamo, and another male resident, Robert Downs. The child was said to have several, unexplained injuries upon his body, according to police.
Police say the child sustained the injuries within the last six weeks at the hands of the male resident and the child's mother. The child was taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
Downs, 36, was arrested for four counts of child abuse and neglect, domestic battery/strangulation and 2nd degree kidnapping. The child's mother, 30-year-old Alamo, was arrested for three counts pf child abuse and neglect, 2nd degree kidnapping and domestic battery/strangulation.
