3:45pm UPDATE: Animal Services says the dog “Throttle” was found in the Kirman Road and Plumb Road area at 2:30pm. The dog is currently with Animal Services.
The dog did not bite anyone or threaten anyone while he was loose.
Throttle’s future will be determined between the owner and Animal Services.
RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - Washoe County Regional Animal Services says they are looking for 9-month-old black male pit bull-mastiff mix that they consider to be "unpredictable" and is showing signs of aggression. The dog's name is "Throttle".
They says the dog is loose in the area of the 3200 block of South Virginia Street.
Washoe County Regional Animal Services, Washoe County Sheriff's Office, Reno Police Department and the Washoe County School Police Department are in the area searching for the dog.
A "Code Red" telephone alert was issued through Washoe Dispatch to the local residents in the immediate search area.
If anyone in the area or surrounding areas of Lymberry, Brinkby, South Virginia Street observes a loose dog we ask that they do not approach it and call 911 as soon as possible.
