CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Carson City Sheriff's Office have arrested two men when deputies discovered around 60 grams of methamphetamine at a Carson City motel room on Wednesday.
Jacob Pacheaco, 27, of Carson City, faces charges of level 3 Drug Trafficking and Possession with Intent to Sell. A second man, Jason Way, was arrested on suspicion of being in violation of the Controlled Substance Act after allegedly text messaging plans to buy methamphetamine at the motel room.
According to a report filed by Carson City Sheriff's Office Deputy Morgan Tucker said that he was conducting a business check in the 2700-block of South Carson Street. Aware that a motel room was rented to a person with a warrant, the officer saw a woman outside the room talking with someone inside.
The officer knocked on the door and identified himself as "sheriff's office." After about a minute, the same woman answered the door and insisted that she was alone in the room.
Deputy Tucker found Pacheaco hiding behind the door in the bathroom, and he was detained. The arresting officer found about 4.5 grams of meth in a small ziplock baggie inside the trash can. He also found more meth inside the toilet bowl, around 56 grams.
Way was arrested as part of a followup investigation at approximately 7:30 p.m. Day allegedly texted messaged that he would buy 1.75 grams of meth at the same motel room for $70.
